MINI ORANGE / GREEN LEAGUES (JANUARY TO MARCH 2020)
COMPETITION DETAILS
This is a team competition (2 players), consisting of 3 knock out rounds, with the top two in each group progressing through at each stage. The final 4 teams in each competition will play the finals during the Classic at Edgbaston Priory on Saturday 20th June 2019.
ELIGIBILITY, EVENTS AND FORMAT
A player may only represent one place to play in this competition. You can also only play in one event – you cannot play in both a green and an orange team.
The finals of this competition are in summer 2020. At that time, the age group changes (to calendar year of birth) will be in effect, and so we are planning to use calendar year of birth for eligibility from the outset of the competition.
The competition shall include the following events:
- 9&U Boys – born 2011 or 2012
- 9&U Girls – born 2011 or 2012
- 10&U Boys – born 2010 or 2011
- 10&U Girls – born 2010 or 2011
Each team shall consist of 2 players. Each team will be placed in a box and will play all other teams in the group on the play date. All player 1s will play each other and so will the 2s. Doubles matches will be played if required.
A player can only represent one team in each event. Ie. if John plays for Kenilworth B in round 1, he can only play for Kenilworth B in any subsequent round. Please take this into account when considering how many teams to enter.
ENTRY FEE
There is a £5 per team entry fee which is paid at the time you enter your team via tournamentsoftware. Teams will not be accepted if the entry fee has not been paid.
MATCH FEES
Each child will play £5 per round (so £10 per team). All fees will be paid directly to the host venue on the day.
COMPETITION DATES 2020
Round 1: 8/9 Feb, Round 2: 29 Feb/1 March, Round 3: 21/22 March
FINALS @ EDGBASTON PRIORY Sat 20 June 2020.
Times and dates will be confirmed once leagues have been put together as clubs across the county will host the leagues. If your club is able to host a box or two, please get in touch with your preferred day and start time.
